Indian Marketing Awards 2016: Winners Speak


exchange4media celebrated the best and brightest work seen in marketing at the annual Indian Marketing Awards held recently in Delhi. The Indian Marketing Awards 2016 or IMA 2016 was powered by Sakal Media Group and & TV.

The awards spanned 12 categories---Brand Activation; Brand Extension, Brand Revitalisation; Business-to-Business Marketing; Cause Related Marketing; Consumer Insight; Digital Marketing, Social Media, Mobile Marketing; E-Commerce; Marketing Communication; Marketing on a Small Budget; Not for Profit Marketing and New Brand, Product or Service Launch and were decided by an eminent jury of 11 industry specialists headed by Jury Chair, Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestle India Limited.

Mediacom Communications won 1 Gold and 2 Silver metals. It won a Gold for ‘P&G- Ariel-Dads Share the load - Men for Laundry’ campaign in the Consumer Insights category.

Other Gold winners included mSix for U Quit I Quit for Cipla Health Ltd, McCann Worldgroup for the Maggi relaunch campaign, netCore solutions for ‘A Call for Skill Development’ for COAI-PMKVY, ZenithOptimedia for ‘Restoring Faith in the Aftermath of a Crisis’ for Nestle’s Maggi, Myntra for its End of Season sale campaign, DB Corp for its ‘Zidd Karo Duniya Badlo’ campaign, SAB TV for SAB TV Khidki and Viacom18 Media for MTV The JunkYard Project.

Speaking about the win, R S Suryanarayanan, Initiative Media India Pvt Ltd said, “We are so delighted to have this trophy. It is one of the key initiatives that Maruti Suzuki had undertaken last year and we are so proud to win the trophy for one of the new launches that Maruti Suzuki has done. We have done fantastically well and we are proud of this win.”

Anand Dubey, Head Consumer Marketing, IndusInd Bank said, “Really delighted to win this award for the latest offering which we have done on fingerprint banking. We are very thankful to exchange4media and the entire jury member team for giving us this award.”

“This award has brought the recognition to the hard work that we have put and it was a great contribution from all our telecom operators for developing this skill in all the domains where we have touched base with 44 crore people and selected over 75 lakh candidates who aspire to be skilled in India,” added Commodore J Jena, Deputy Director COAI.

Speaking about the win, M Sudipto of Mediacom Communications said, “Congratulations to my team from Mediacom Mumbai , I am taking this award on behalf of them but it is the hard work done by my team P&G - Ariel-Dads Share the load - Men for Laundry.”

Kavita Natarajan, WAT Consult added, “We are very excited to be part of this category and we partnered with Himalaya to take their communication forward and we hope to continue with this campaign year on year.”

Akashdeep Batra, Head, Brad Communication, Nestle said, “This is possibly the fourth award that we have won. I would like to thank exchange4media for organising this award and recognising the good work.”

“I thank exchange4media for the award which shows how we work and how we involve ourselves with the job. And the best part is that we have won in a category which may not be synonymous with MTV,” added Vineet of MTV.

Expressing his views on the coveted win, Ujjwal S of Milestone Media said, ‘We are glad to win this award as this campaign was very close to our heart. Though it was a small budget campaign, but as we believe, it is all about great ideas and great execution.”
